March is National Nutrition Month! Having good nutrition doesn’t have to be restrictive or difficult. Just making small changes to your lifestyle will have a cumulative effect and before you know it, you’ll be eating as healthy as ever! Healthy nutrition is a huge aspect of maintaining a healthy lifestyle! Try and complete EatRight’s Nutrition Month’s weekly challenges below!
1. Week One: Eat a variety of nutritious foods every day! • Include foods from all food groups, hydrate, & practice portion control.
2. Week Two: Plan your meals each day! • Use a grocery list to help shop for healthy food, be menu-savvy when dining out, pack a lunch for school or work, & plan healthy eating when traveling.
3. Week Three: Learn skills to create tasty meals! • Keep healthy ingredients on hand, share meals together as a family when possible, reduce food waste, & try new flavors and food!
4. Week Four: Consult a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)! • Try asking your doctor for a referral, find an RDN who is specialized to serve your needs, & thrive through the transformative power of food and nutrition!

Larry Sidney is our newest Financial Advisor here at MFG. Larry is an elite athlete and Olympic Alternate for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games! Home life is busy for Larry these days, as he and his wife Kerstin have two young boys, almost three years old and almost one. Larry and Kerstin love being active and outdoors with their children, whether hiking, biking, skiing, or out on Lake Tahoe. Larry is an avid curler, a member of the Israeli National Curling Team, and a big Olympic fan, and has attended 6 of the last 7 Olympic games as either a spectator or coach.
